Nick Diaz Vacates Strikeforce Title for Georges St-Pierre Fight at UFC 137

When Nick Diaz faces Georges St-Pierre at UFC 137 he will do so with out the Strikeforce title. While originally reported Diaz would fight for both organizations as part of his new deal, MMAWeekly reports that Diaz is a UFC fighter. UFC President Dana White said Diaz could return to Strikeforce if he chose to but for now he is a UFC fighter.

While no announcement has been made by Strikeforce, welterweight prospect Tyron Woodley will likely be in discussion for shot at the vacant welterweight belt.

UFC 137 will air on pay-per-view from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on Oct. 29.
