Shogun Haters

Mauricio Shogun Rua. Former UFC LightHeavyweight champion, Pride Middle weight winner and superstar, and still one of the dominating forces of MMA today. His persona is that of a charismatic one with his octagon prescence and fight style, and ofcourse by my name one of my all time favourite MMA fighters. But there's still alot of people that hate him. Why? I've been accused of 'dick riding' (lol) him when i defend his side. People just seem to take Shogun as a joke of a fighter, almost like a more mature Kimbo Slice, and have a feild day with his most recent and for me frustrating loss to Jon Jones. Now i hate Jones not JUST because he beat Shogun but it's cause he has a tendency to rely on his size and reach hence the street fighter-like combos he pulls of and no one seems to see past this idiotic way of fighting. Recently Shogun said in an interveiw he wanted soccer kicks back in UFC, and ofcourse he garnered flak from his haters. Can someone who maybe hates him please explain why? What is it with shogun that you don't like?

i know im 19 and im not saying i know everything i only know a few things im not here saying that i do, its funny 99% percent of teenagers think they have a answer for everything when in reality they should be asking instead of telling

i find i funny how ppl are saying ortiz could beat Jones... All he did was beat Bader which Jones proved was an easy thing to do. let me remind u guys hes 1-5 in his last 6 fights even though he shouldve won a few of those but he didn't. Id say almost every one in the LHW diviision has a better chance too win against Jones.

lol i was thinking hendo too. If Rampage hits him sqaure the kid will drop. I got Suga beating him in January. Or Machida, the Karate Kid is no hoe. He has good wrestling and his striking is nice. Machida is so underated. I know Shogun worked him. but when on his game, Shogun is a beast. Still to this day Machida v Shogun 1 is one of the best fights i ever seen.

u do realize tito wasnt 100% during those fights and two of those he should have won, tito is one of the best lhw of all time, he is the longest reining lhw champ in ufc history, tito has a better shot of beating jones than rampage

I love Tito, me and Sabby are prolly the only Tito fans here lol, but Hammil was just one of those fights where it wasn't skill that won, it was just the difference in styles between the two. I don't like Hammil... at all... :/

the thing nobody is talkin bout is, how we dont know if bones even wants to strike with rampage. he will definitely try to out wrestle him, no doubt. but just like hamill showed and i said it before, td's got to be set up with effective striking. its not like rampage is trying to hit d. cruz. he'll have some opportunities

i dont know how any one can count out a 100% tito its hysterical the tito that fought bader is the tito who destroyed guy mezgar, beat wandy, dominated cote, took tanners lunch money, its funny people thought randy could be a good opponent for jones but as soon as they hear tito they laugh and say he will get dominated u dont know until it happens and they way it stands of right now tito will prbly get the loser of jones/rampage or the winner of sonnen/machidia (just read that all they have to do is sign the contract)

Back on my topic yeah jones will go through the whole allistar overeem thing hes a young fighter thats really tall but on the thin side cause his body hasnt matrued and filled out .. And just like allistar thats where we saw him get kod and lose to almost everyone .. Im not saying the exact thing will happen to jones but somthing similar expecially since he is the champ so he has to stick around at 205

ok first off he doesnt look like he has a good ground game at all and took 10 seconds each time too get up off his back and his standup is pretty bad he had the sloppiest striking ive seen in a long time. I was looking forward too his debut but after the fight i was wondering why i was looking forward too him in UFC.
