Shogun Haters

Mauricio Shogun Rua. Former UFC LightHeavyweight champion, Pride Middle weight winner and superstar, and still one of the dominating forces of MMA today. His persona is that of a charismatic one with his octagon prescence and fight style, and ofcourse by my name one of my all time favourite MMA fighters. But there's still alot of people that hate him. Why? I've been accused of 'dick riding' (lol) him when i defend his side. People just seem to take Shogun as a joke of a fighter, almost like a more mature Kimbo Slice, and have a feild day with his most recent and for me frustrating loss to Jon Jones. Now i hate Jones not JUST because he beat Shogun but it's cause he has a tendency to rely on his size and reach hence the street fighter-like combos he pulls of and no one seems to see past this idiotic way of fighting. Recently Shogun said in an interveiw he wanted soccer kicks back in UFC, and ofcourse he garnered flak from his haters. Can someone who maybe hates him please explain why? What is it with shogun that you don't like?

ok now dumbass, jones relys on his reach and size if shogun had this reach and size he would do the same thing, he has so much skill its not even funny, he throws amazing combos, puts caution to the wind doesnt care if he is in a bad spot, u hate him because he destroyed shogun face it, i like shogun he is a good fighter exciting when he is in shape, but to be honest i think he should give it up, allot of surgerys on the knee ruin ur career and he only fights like once every other yr, this is his second fight so maybe he will prove me wrong

Yeah, I love Shogun, but that's not why Jones wins. Jones wins his fights because he is very talented in his wrestling, and knows what to do, and when to do it.

no it wouldnt, a ko wouldnt end it, a ko doesnt mean a dominate win, u know if its 2 or 3 rounds of one side it would mean that but if he is getting bodied and rampage throws a punch and it lands it would mean jones got caught, which everyone does, everyone loses, and a loss to rampage wouldnt end the hype

A better question is whats with all the jon jones haters? The guy does nothing but put on exciting fights and he finishes his fights. He is one of the only guys at LHW that does flying knees, spinning elbows and he has great greco roman wrestling which is allot more fun too watch then standard wrestling. He's been my fav fighter ever since i watched his fight with Bonnar so it might be just my opinion. But i guarantee a second round stoppage of rampage in dominant fashion when the fight happens.

ok folks to answer some questions i dont like jones because...... idk its more or less on how easily he beats people, IT PAINS ME lol but anywho there IS shogun haters trust me go on UFC.com it's there, shogun will definitely beat griffin ^^ and actually lets see jones fight um idk a world clazz wrestler like cheal sonnen or somebody else that will push past those damn lanky limbs and work jones like no tomorrow, then he will break. that's the key, he's never been pushed or hit really hard hence cause of his reliance on his size, take that away and all those retard spins and kicks will be useless. think about it

The thing is nobody has the 84.5 reach he has too get past his lanky limbs so theirs nobody that will work him over. Second thing hes a good greco roman wrestler so i dont think a world class wrestler would beat him even though i might be wrong. we will see when he faces rampage(good striker) and rashaad(good wrestler) how good he really is.

Also who knows maby Forrest will beat shogun again via sub or UD maby even tko but who knows anything can happen shogun is one of my favorite fighters sooo I'm rooting for him but I also know anything can happen soo I'm not giving my hopes up

The only two ppl i think could beat Jones is Lyoto Machida and a healthy Shogun maybe. i think that Rampage is gonna experience the worst loss of his career when they fight.

I was thinking Lyoto Dan henderson if he comes to the UFC or he puts his strikeforce belt on the line against bones or rashad

After last Jones performance i dont think anyone can beat him right now, there is no good contender in LHW right now, but if you want me to put money on one of the folowing i'll pick Rashad i dont think Rampage can handle, not enough tools.
