Chael Sonnen vs. Lyoto Machida Possible for UFC 136 on Oct. 8 in Houston

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida could welcome suspended middleweight contender Chael Sonnen back to the UFC in a 205-pound matchup that’s reportedly in the works for UFC 136 on October 8 in Houston, Texas, according to ESPN.

Sonnen (25-11-1) would be returning to the Octagon for the first time in over a year following his suspension for failing a drug test and pleading guilty to money laundering after nearly dethroning middleweight champ Anderson Silva in August only to be submitted in the final round to snap a three-fight win streak.

Meanwhile, Machida (17-2) is on the rise again after rebounding from back-to-back losses with the “Knockout of the Night” of UFC hall of famer Randy Couture at UFC 129 in April.

The UFC 136 fight card is likely to be headlined by featherweight champion Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian.

this match is personal .. this has to do with a interview right before the anderson silva fight .. he got asked if he would ever go back up to 205 and cheal stated why would destroy everyone look they had a karate guy as their champion .. from then on there has been back and fourth drama from them it went un noticed because of the silva hype talk

I heard this might be the last tuf if they cant get a deal with spike. also espn is out of the question cause too much blood (ground elbows) and 80% is owned by Disney. They said the remedy for all that is a UFC channel. Thats the latest info

i acually wouldnt be sad if they got rid of the show .. they need a new format or hold of for a couple years .. idk seems like alot of posers and can fighters now on there .. we havent had a really good winner of tuf in a while .. idk just my opinion

I agree Ultimate Fighter has been really boring lately hopefully Bisping and Miller make the show interesting.
