Fresh off his victory over Mark Bocek, Ben Henderson is wasting no time and is aiming towards the top of the division as he's slated to meet top ranked Jim Miller at UFC on Versus 5.
After losing to Anthony Pettis this past December, Ben Henderson made his UFC debut less than two weeks ago where he defeated Mark Bocek by unanimous decision at UFC 129. The former WEC lightweight champion will get no easy task in Miller, but a victory would not only catapult Henderson towards the top of the division, but it would also help validate the level of competition that the WEC lightweights represent.
Jim Miller was last seen at UFC 128 where he defeated another former WEC lightweight in Kamal Shalorus. The win over Shalorus extended Miller's UFC win streak to seven, with his only octagon defeat coming to top ranked Gray Maynard over two years ago.
With the UFC lightweight title picture on hold, it's uncertain of where a win will put either fighter, but both men will undoubtedly be looking to get the victory and secure their place in the long line of challengers.
UFC on Versus 5 is expected to take place on Aug. 14 from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. It will mark the UFC’s fifth live broadcast with the Versus sports network.
