Three more matchups are official for the UFC on FX 1 fight card, as middleweight Jorge Rivera faces Eric Schafer, former WEC featherweight champ Mike Brown meets Vagner Rocha, and light heavyweight Ryan Jimmo debuts against Karlos Vemola at the Jan. 20 event in Nashville, Tennessee, the UFC announced Tuesday.
Rivera (18-9) suffered losses to Michael Bisping and Constantinos Philippou in 2011 following three-straight wins, while Schaffer (12-6-2) returned to the Octagon with a decision loss to Aaron Simpson in October.
Brown (25-8) earned a unanimous decision over Nam Phan in August for his first UFC win after back-to-back losses, while Rocha (7-2) rebounded from a debut loss to Donald Cerrone with a submission of Cody McKenzie in September.
Jimmo (16-1) defended his title in Canada’s MFC promotion over Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in October for his 16th-straight win, while Vemola (8-2) followed a win over Seth Petruzelli with a loss to Ronny Markes in August.
UFC on FX 1 is headlined by lightweights Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller and also features heavyweights Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft and welterweights Duane “Bang” Ludwig vs. Josh Neer.
