Dana White: Quinton Jackson Faces Matt Hamill at UFC 130

A proposed UFC 130 bout between light-heavyweights Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Matt Hamill is now official for the May 28 event in Las Vegas.

UFC President Dana White recently spoke to USA Today about booking Jackson vs. Hamill and why “Rampage” didn’t rematch Rashad Evans:

“Talking’s fun before the fight, but if you do all this talking and then you go in there and don’t fight, who wants to see that (crap) again? Rampage-Rashad, the (freaking) snoozefest? I don’t want to see that (freaking) fight again.”

“Matt Hamill and Rampage might not talk a bunch of (crap) about each other before the fight, but when have you not seen Matt Hamill fight? Matt Hamill’s going to go in there and try to beat him.”

Dana's an idiot. They made over 950k in PPV buys and he says its a snoozefest. Every fight is different. Why would he think that the fight will be the same?

Rashad is mad he didnt finish Rampage, and Rampage is mad that Rashad dominated him for 2 rounds. I think it would be a great sequel. We as fans miss out because Dana knows the future.

i guarentee you dist rampage doesnt want to fight rashad again and same for rashad , dist just cause they are both black doesnt mean they should fight again .lol .. im sick of seeing the same fights in ufc

That 1 moment can win u a fight. Its called the 1 hitta quitta Raj!! Thats what makes mma so great, at any given moment the fight can dramatically change with one or two punches.

if u go back and watch that fight dist the reason why rashad got dizzy cause he went if for a double and hit rampages knee he could have finished but like raj said maybe 1 punch landed

wow never knew he hit his knee. rampage was hitting air i agree, but if he lands a couple punches the fight might be over. Thats what i was trying to explain to raj. He feels that rampages flurry couldn't of changed the fight. We might be talking Shogun v Rampage if he landed a couple shots.

that got out of hand a bit lol. After Rampages performance after Lyoto enlightened me, Rampage improves when he trains. I honestly thought that rampage hadn't got a chance if the fight went to the third round due to his cardio, but he kept the punches swinging and didnt stop, yea he was gassed in round 3 but he was still coming forward with punches and wrestling with lyoto. if rampage keeps his solid training up he will cause alot of upsets.
