Ben Rothwell will return to the Octagon for the first time since last June when he’s slated to face fellow heavyweight Mark Hunt at UFC 135 on September 24 in Denver, Colorado, according to MMA Weekly.
Rothwell (31-7) has been sidelined since earning a decision win over Gilbert Yvel at UFC 115 to rebound from a debut loss to Cain Velasquez in 2009, while Hunt (6-7) scored the “Knockout of the Night” on Chris Tuchscherer at February’s UFC 127 to bounce back from a 63-second submission to Sean McCorkle in September.
UFC 135 is expected to be headlined by light heavyweight champion Jon Jones vs. “Rampage” Jackson, while the UFC 135 fight card also includes Diego Sanchez vs. Matt Hughes and Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto vs. Damacio Page.
