After Matt Hamill was pulled from UFC 129 to face Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 130, rising light heavyweight Phil Davis is now expected to face Jason Brilz and the April 30 event in Toronto, according to MMAjunkie.
Davis (8-0), a D-I wrestling champ at Penn State, improved to 4-0 inside the Octagon with a “Submission of the Night” win over Tim Boetsch in November, while Brilz (18-3-1) is coming off a controversial split decision loss to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira that earned “Fight of the Night” honors in September.
